Wow! You are one active lady! I wish I lived a little closer to send my dd to get some tips on self-defense...we live in a river town called Muscatine in
Iowa...really probably not too far from you.
How far are you from St. Louis? My son has a girlfriend who lives there...he goes to visit her about every other month...she's in the final stages of being
an Optomitrist...our son just finished student teaching and will be teaching full time next year...she will graduate from her internship next year...then they
plan to take it from there...they like the Kansas City area...they may pick there to settle in...won't be to far from us; thank goodness...I have another
son going to college in Ottumwa, Iowa at Indian Hills and one dd-Christina-14 yrs. old still at home starting High School next year.
What are the ages of your children?
I run a non-profit religious supply at my churches here in Muscatine-SS.Mathias/Mary and Dh, dd and I usher on Sundays. I'm thinking about lectoring too.
Right me a few lines back if you get a chance.
Hugs,
Mary Anne

Reply from lisamarie63703: Hi Mary Anne!
Thank you so much for writing! I live in Cape Girardeau which is about an 1 1/2 south of St. Louis and on the river! I love the river!
My husband and I have three kids, 22, 19, and 16. Our son and one daughter go to college here in town and the other daughter is in high school. We all own and
teach at our family business- our martial arts school - my husband also teaches marketing at the college, I am a part time youth coordinator at church and the
two college kids have parttime jobs too! I admit we are really busy in life, but we eat the evening meal together most every night if one of the kids isn't
working. I love our family meals and we have a lot of fun. Everyone is growing up and out though so those times won't last!
Life with older kids is always hectic as you probably know, but I love this age with them.
We've been teaching martial arts-really a Christian version of a self protection for kids to help protect them from abductors, bullies, build confidence,
for almost 20 years!
I also write books -I self publish them cause I just wanted to write them for my kids and the kids in our classes. I write a book series called Kip MacAllister
Adventures - which is like a martial arts Nancy Drew who becomes a bodyguard!
You should become a Lector at church! I cantor and love it. I train teens to cantor, lector and become Euchartistic Ministers too.
Thank you so much for writing, hope to hear from you soon!
